Dave Dondero to Perform at Interzone Café on October 2

Interzone café, a Corvallis hub for organic coffee and local art, will be hosting their first in-person show since the start of COVID this weekend. Dave Dondero will be performing on October 2, with West, a local Corvallis band, opening the show at 5 p.m.

Dave Dondero is an American singer-songwriter with 13 albums to date. Dondero’s latest album, The Filter Bubble Blues, shares his reflections on events that took place during the Trump presidency. Information on Dondero’s latest album and tour dates can be found on his website

In 2009, Dondero was invited to perform on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts. You can watch his performance here

Interzone owner William McCanless spoke of the excitement and relief he felt as students returned to campus for the fall term. In previous years, Interzone has been a popular spot for local music and other art-centered events. Due to the pandemic, the cafe has had to cut in-person shows and performances. With a now-bustling Oregon State University campus and a live music show on the horizon, McCanless hopes this marks a return to some sense of normalcy.

Entry to this show is free of charge. Proof of COVID vaccination will be required to attend. Interzone is located across from OSU at 1563 NW Monroe Ave. in Corvallis.
