You’ll Need a Ride Home: New Corvallis Dive Bar Crawl goes Digital

It’s a new self-guided Corvallis Dive Bar Crawl because it’s a Friday and you need that, and also, your favorite watering holes need you too. Like, we’re seeing this as a mutual support kind of thing. For instance, a starving intern reporter makes an impossible deadline, so you buy him a drink (insert grotesquely shameless hint, check). But also, the locally owned bar scores some needed dollars too, right?

Anyhooo, Visit Corvallis started it, but they swear it’s also for us local-yokels. And they promise the free self-guided tour takes participants on an unforgettable journey through the city’s most beloved dive bars.

Here’s how it works: The Corvallis Dive Bar Crawl features nine iconic watering holes, including local favorites like Peacock Bar & Grill, Clodfelter’s Public House, and Squirrel’s Tavern. To participate, simply download the free digital passport, check in at each bar, and unlock a special prize upon completing the crawl. The pass is valid for a full year after it’s downloaded, giving participants plenty of time to sip, savor, and explore.

“This crawl is all about celebrating the character, charm, and community spirit of Corvallis’ dive bars,” said Christina Rehklau, executive director of Visit Corvallis. “Each stop offers something unique, from delicious brews to pool tables and friendly regulars. It’s a great way to experience the city like a local.”

Current participating locations include Peacock Bar & Grill, China Delight Lounge, Clodfelter’s Public House, Harrison Bar & Grill, Squirrel’s Tavern, Suds & Suds, Tommy’s 4th Street Bar & Grill, the Biere Library, and the Meetin’ Place.
