Republicans and Democrats gathered for election night events in Portland, Aurora and Salem to cheer — or decry — the results.

The Oregon Democratic Party held its big shindig at the Portland Hilton Hotel, while Marion and Polk County Democrats gathered at the Willamette Heritage Center in Salem. The Oregon Republican Party’s event was at Langdon Farms in Aurora, which is located northeast of Woodburn in Marion County.

Each event attracted party leaders and stalwarts, with the Hilton event drawing Oregon’s U.S. Sens. Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden; U.S. Reps. Earl Blumenauer, Suzanne Bonamici and Andrea Salinas; Democratic congressional candidates and state Reps. Janelle Bynum and Maxine Dexter; and legislative leaders.

Christine Drazan, former Republican gubernatorial nominee and state representative, was on the agenda at the Langdon Farms event while Salinas was also invited to the Marion County election watch.

Campaign staff, volunteers and members of the public also turned up. Photographers Rian Dundon, Laura Tesler and Ron Cooper are at the events in Portland, Salem and Aurora, capturing the atmosphere, speakers and supporters.
