Our congressional district had seen national attention this election, and there’s a Corvallisite, Dan Rayfield, who will be replacing Oregon’s retiring Attorney General. Also on deck, votes for Oregon’s Secretary of State and State Treasurer went decisively Dem.
For our district’s State Legislative Representative, Democrat Sarah Finger McDonald ran unopposed in her bid to replace the aforementioned Corvallisite headed to the state’s AG office.
This year’s statewide ballot measures included a packet of what we’ve called good government questions – who should set lawmaker salaries, should ranked choice voting go statewide, and should our sweet little state have an available impeachment process.
Also on the ballot, was a plan to send every Oregonian a check that would’ve been mostly paid for by a new corporate tax, and new labor rights for cannabis workers.
And, without further ado, the results as of 9:16 pm, Tuesday, November 5.
