Mobile Makerspace: Leather Crafting. Philomath Meeting Room, 1050 Applegate St., Philomath. 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Free. Children ages 8 and above, along with their adults, are invited to learn leather crafting. Participants will engage in hands-on projects designing and creating their leather goods. We will learn how to accurately gauge and cut the leather, use technology and equipment for finishing touches and decorations, and discover how leather is used by indigenous people in sustainable ways. This interdisciplinary approach allows students to apply knowledge from various fields in a practical, creative context.***For this makerspace project, 8 years old and higher is the recommended age range.
