Long Summer Days is a photo essay that follows Haley’s journey through childhood as she struggles with the boredom of living as a single child in the same small home where Streitberger grew up. Documenting Oregon’s Trail of Tears: Historic Photography. Corvallis Museum, 411 SW 2nd St., Corvallis. 10:30 am. Nolan Streitberger will share unique photos from his project documenting the history that led up to the removal of Native Americans from their homelands after the Rogue River War in 1856. Using technology from the 1850s known as wet plate collodion photography, Streitberger documented the trail using an antique wooden camera.
