Live & Learn with your Preschooler (Corvallis). Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave., Corvallis. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00-11:30 am, Starts January 9, Corvallis Benton Center. Online Parent Seminars Mondays 8-9 pm.  A preschool cooperative for families and their 3-, 4- and 5 -year olds. Children must be 3 or 4 years old by the first day of the Fall Term of the current school year to enroll. Kindergarten-eligible children are not eligible for enrollment. Three mornings a week the instructor leads activities including books, songs, demonstrations, and sharing/interaction with other children during the preschool lab. Parents/guardians take turns assisting the instructor during lab time. Preschool activities foster children’s growth, development, and school readiness. In addition to the lab time, parents/guardians attend evening parenting education sessions with opportunities to reflect and share with other parents. Parents/guardians expand their knowledge of parenting and practice guidance and communication techniques. This program works to align with best practices including the Oregon Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines. Teen Takeover: Winter Party. Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave., Corvallis. 6:30 p.m. Free. Teens in grades 6-12 take over the library after it closes on the 3rd Friday of the month. Snacks and materials provided. The Wolves. Majestic Theatre, 115 SW 2nd St., Corvallis. 7:30 p.m. $14-$16. Pulitzer Prize finalist The Wolves is the debut play of up-and-coming playwright Sarah DeLappe, featuring an all-woman cast (comprised of nine adolescents and one briefly-seen adult).From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the Wolves, a 9-member girls’ soccer team, navigate big questions and wage personal battles with their warrior determination and strength. As they warm-up for each game, we see their personalities, connections, conflicts, love, grief, and power that makes them the Wolves. Content Warning: This production features strong language, mature themes and adult language including characters in honest discussions about sex, politics, abortion, eating disorders and death.
