Historic Preservation Month: Historic Preservation Celebration. Whiteside Theater, 361 SW Madison Ave., Corvallis. 6 p.m. Free. This year the Historic Preservation Society will be celebrating their volunteers – specifically their tour guides. The keynote speaker is Dr. David Brauner, who will speak on the history of Fort Hoskins. This event is part of Historic Preservation Month. Historic Preservation Month: KOAC Radio Station Tour (11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.) KOAC, 6500 Hyslop Rd., Corvallis. Free. KOAC is one of the oldest radio stations of its kind. The radio aired its first broadcast in 1923 – so this is a 100 year celebration of the signal, but not of the building which was constructed in 1942. There will be three tours, limited to 12 people per tour.
