Monroe Farmers Market. Monroe High School, Grass Area, 365 N 5th St., Monroe. 4 p.m. Free. Located beside Highway 99W, next to the high school parking lot, the Monroe Farmers Market brings local artisans and food producers every week to celebrate the bounty of the community. It’s the place to buy and sell local edibles and handcrafted gifts. Visit for more info. 

Gadzooks. Common Fields, 545 SW 3rd St., Corvallis. 6:00 p.m. Join Common Fields on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for dinner and enjoy live music while you eat! Concerts are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seating is limited and first-come, first-serve. All of the concerts are family friendly. Visit for more info. 

Historic Preservation Month: Historic Preservation Celebration. Whiteside Theater, 361 SW Madison Ave., Corvallis. 6 p.m. Free. This year the Historic Preservation Society will be celebrating their volunteers – specifically their tour guides. The keynote speaker is Dr. David Brauner, who will speak on the history of Fort Hoskins. This event is part of Historic Preservation Month. Visit for more info. 

Friday, May 26 

Historic Preservation Month: KOAC Radio Station Tour (11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.) KOAC, 6500 Hyslop Rd., Corvallis. Free. KOAC is one of the oldest radio stations of its kind. The radio aired its first broadcast in 1923 – so this is a 100 year celebration of the signal, but not of the building which was constructed in 1942. Memorial Day Weekend Open House: Compton Family Wines. Compton Family Wines, 810 Applegate St., Philomath. 12 p.m.  Compton Family Wines welcomes you to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend in their tasting room May 26-28, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a special Library Wine tasting flight.
