Leadership Corvallis, a group focused on creating a dynamic and empowered local community, is open for applications for the class of 2023.
With its 30th anniversary bringing a return to in-person classes, the organization is looking for the next leaders to participate in 10, once-a-month classes that will provide the students with the “knowledge, insight and inspiration to assume volunteer and leadership roles in the community.” Their curriculum focuses on topics like government services, education, healthcare, and the arts, with speakers curated directly from current community leaders.
Graduates of the program include some well-known names, such as Economic Development Manager for the City of Corvallis Kate Porsche, Sean Nealon of Oregon State University’s News and Research Department, and Ann Schneider of Tried and True Coffee.
If you’re interested in joining the new class, you can apply at the Leadership Corvallis website. For more information, contact Chris Nordyke, Leadership Corvallis recruitment committee chair, at chris.nordyke@gmail.com.
