Tuesday, August 9

Board of Commissioners Goal-Setting Work Session. 9 a.m. Free. In an effort to reduce the potential risk for exposure to COVID-19, Tuesday Board Meetings will be held remotely. Visit for more info.

Historic Resources Commission. 6:30 p.m. Free. This Historic Resources Commission meeting will be conducted online only. Please contact the Planning Division if you need special accommodation to be able to participate electronically. How Can I Participate? Wednesday, August 10

Philomath Storytime. Philomath Community Library, 1050 Applegate St, Philomath 10:30 a.m. Free. Children and families are invited to join our all-ages storytime at the Philomath Community Library. We will share short stories, songs, and rhymes. Visit for more info.

HOPE Executive Committee Meeting. 4 p.m. Free. The HOPE Executive Committee meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month from 4-5pm. They decide who serves on the HOPE Board when there are vacancies and they also set the agendas for the full board meetings. The HOPE Executive Committee is made up of seven board members from the 21-person HOPE Board: two co-chairs, one county commissioner, two city councilors, one business community representative, and the Director of Community Services Consortium, our community action agency for Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties. Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry Department Advisory Committee Meeting. 9a.m. Free. The Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry Department Advisory Committee Meeting will be held 9 am at the Corvallis Parks and Recreation Administration Building. Monday, August 15

City Council Meeting. 6 p.m. Free. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend City Council meetings. This meeting is being held in-person and virtually. The public may register to watch the meeting live on the internet via this link: Community members wishing to offer testimony in advance on subjects on topics appearing on any City Council agenda and not related to a public hearing before the Council are strongly encouraged to do so in writing. The deadline to preregister for verbal testimony and to submit written comments or materials is 9:00 am the day of the meeting. Visit for more info.

CAAB Work Group – Utility Decarbonization. 3:30 p.m. Free. Planning Commission Joint Work Session. 6 p.m. Free. The Benton County Planning Commission & Adair Village Planning Commission will meet for a joint work session on Tuesday, August 16th at 6pm. The purpose of this joint work session is to discuss the Adair Village Urban Growth Boundary Amendment. Location: Adair Village City Hall, 6030 NE William R. Carr Avenue.
