A Corvallis man has been arrested in Prineville on multiple charges, including the stalking of Prineville women, after his having been the subject of multiple complaints. The most serious charge is what appears to have been the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl.
The man, identified by Prineville police as Corvallis resident Ian Philip Goldberg, age 58, was arrested on October 1 when he allegedly tried to persuade a 12-year-old girl to get into his green 1996 Mazda MX6, Oregon plate CB19600. he drove away when a witness tried to get involved. Goldberg was released on $22,000 bond.
After his arrest, search warrants were served on Goldberg’s temporary home, car, and phone, and it was discovered that he had been allegedly committing other crimes. He was arrested for stalking, menacing, and failure to obey a no contact order.
Since his later crimes happened while he was on bail, Goldberg is now being held on $800,000 bail.
Prineville Police are asking residents to come forward if they have any information relating to complaints against Goldberg. You can contact the Prineville Police at 541-447-4168.
