Corvallis Candidates Can Pick Up Nomination Packets

Starting this week, those wanting to run for a local office have been able to pick up nomination petition packets at the Corvallis City Hall, located at 501 SW Madison Ave., or at the Corvallis Community Center (C3), located at 2601 NW Tyler Ave. The packet can also be found online here

The filing period for candidates runs from August 1-19.

For additional information about running for one of these seats, please see the Corvallis Election Information page. If you cannot find the answer to your questions there, the City Recorder can be reached at 541-766-6901 or at city.recorder@corvallisoregon.gov. The City Recorder may be able to meet with prospective candidates to answer questions, review the process, or submit forms.

On November 8, the City of Corvallis will elect all nine City Council seats for a two-year term, as well as a new mayor for a four-year term. Current mayor Biff Traber is not seeking re-election.

Remember that the city has an informational session regarding running for city office on Monday, July 25.
