Benton County is working on a new Community Wildfire Protection Plan, and they want your help.
A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) makes recommendations for fuel reduction: where it should happen, how it should happen, what’s already happened, and who and what the reduction would protect. Benton County’s plan was last updated in 2016 and the County is seeking feedback through a brief survey.
The total plan is 45 pages. Completed and proposed action items are in the last 15 pages.
The plan and the survey are available through Benton County’s website, here. The County requests that community members submit feedback before April 8, 2022. Comments may also be submitted directly to Inga Williams; contact Williams at Inga.Williams@co.benton.or.us.
