The south location of First Alternative Co-op is bouncing back. Emily Daniel, Brand Manager for the Co-op updated The Advocate:
“We signed a lease for a temporary kitchen space at the old Mazama/Big River location on First Street in downtown Corvallis, which is a great first step towards getting the Co-op Kitchen team back to cooking up all our shoppers’ favorite foods. While this is an exciting step forward for our team, there is still a lot of work to be done to get this space up and running. From inspections, licenses, and permits to replacing equipment, smallwares, and packaging, starting from scratch is no small task. Our goal is to have production up and running by early April, but we will keep shoppers posted as we get closer and may have a better idea. We are in the early phases of meeting with a few local construction companies to determine our best path forward with the rebuilding of the annex.”
