Oregon VA Holding Virtual Town Hall for Vietnam Vets

The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs will be holding a virtual town hall for Vietnam-era veterans on Thursday, March 25 at noon.

2,709,918 Americans served in Vietnamof whom fewer than 850,000 are estimated to be alive today, the youngest being around 62 years of age.

Topics under discussion will include the Blue-Water Navy Vietnam Veterans’ Act of 2019, diseases which are now presumed to have resulted from Agent Orange exposure, needs-based pensions and various other topics of special interest to Vietnam-era veterans.

Veterans will also have opportunities to speak directly with people in the ODVA who may be able to help them deal with problems they have encountered in getting the help they need.

Veterans are urged to register for the Town Hall as soon as possible, and to submit their questions in advance.

The Corvallis Advocate sincerely thanks all of our veterans – living and dead – for their service.
