Free Family Fun Event: Saturday, July 24

“Museum to Museum: Walk, Ride or Roll” is a day of family activities organized by the Benton County Historical Museum and Society, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Saturday. It starts at the newly opened Corvallis Museum at 411 SW 2nd Street in Corvallis, and promotes cycling along the bike path to the Philomath Museum at 1101 Main Street in Philomath and back.

Creativity in decorating bikes and helmets is encouraged.  For the non-bikers/non-walkers, bus rides are provided.

Activities include riding a bicycle carousel, viewing Oregelkids a bicycle-powered organ, da Vinci Days Kids Kinetic Teeter Totter Challenge, and hunting for clues in Conundrum House’s game ‘Spectres From Benton County Past.’

To top it off, participate in disco fun with Sick Town Derby Dames, meet Roller Derby’s Corvallis Crushers, see a Penny-farthing high-wheeler bicycle demonstration, and find out about Benton County Natural Areas and Parks and the new C2C — Corvallis to Sea — Trail.

Bike safety tips will be presented and advice on bike repairs will be offered by Corvallis Bike Collective’sAsk-A-Wrench.” Join activities for kids on both campuses.
