Felony Sex Offender Reportedly Spotted Near OSU Campus

Oregon State University issued a safety alert to its students on February 6 due to reports of felony sex offender, Timothy Mross, being spotted near campus.

Mross, who has been excluded from OSU property since 2016, is a Level 3 registered sex offender, the highest sex offender status, and has been convicted of felony public indecency in both 2013 and 2017.

In 2019, when he was released from the Department of Corrections, KATU reported they found his rap sheet had 30 criminal convictions including third-degree theft and criminal trespassing,

There are no reports of Mross being on campus, and OSU’s Department of Public Safety is investigating the reports of his proximity.

Mross is 5” 10’ with brown hair, hazel eyes, and scars on his neck.

The university asks that anyone who sees him on the campus not approach or confront him, but instead call OSU’s Department of Public Safety at 541-737-3010. If it is an emergency, call 911.
