The Corvallis School District has made COVID screening free for all students, K-12. This follows the district’s refusal to mandate vaccines for students as a bid to stem the flow of COVID-19.
The testing will be performed through the use of a take-home kit provided by the district. Weekly tests will be sent home each Monday with students, administered through a nasal swab.
Students will then bring their swabs back to school on Tuesday morning for testing by Willamette Valley Toxicology, with results being sent electronically to parents or guardians.
The screening process will require parent or guardian consent, though students older than 15 may consent for themselves. To consent to screening, students, parents, or guardians can click here. They will then be prompted to build an account through LabDash to get notifications.
