Corvallis Organizations Can Now Apply for Climate Loan Program

The city of Corvallis announced in a press release that they will be accepting new applications for its Climate Action Revolving Loan Program.

According to the press release, the loans “will assist nonprofits, co-ops, and governmental educational institutions in their efforts to implement substantial energy efficiency or conservation projects at their own facilities, or elsewhere in the community.”

According to the city, applicants should submit projects that support the Corvallis Climate Action Plan, which they describe as “a framework for the community to meet its greenhouse gas reduction goals and develop mitigation and adaptation strategies for the future.”

The program is competitive, and those awarded the loans will have their interest deferred for two years. Repayments will fund future loans given by the city.

To apply, applicants should visit the city’s website and download an application packet. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on August 24.
