Corvallis CARDV to Host Virtual Safe Families Benefit

Corvallis’ Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV) will be organizing a Virtual Safe Families Benefit on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The 45-minute presentation will be available to watch online starting at 7:30 a.m., and will feature powerful success stories shared by CARDV clients.

A complimentary breakfast will be provided by Forks and Corks Catering and remain available for pick-up from 5:45 to 7:15 a.m. at the OSU Alumni Center; breakfast boxes will be prepared for those who register for the event by Friday, Sept. 24.

Having maintained a presence in Corvallis since 1977, CARDV aims to serve the Corvallis community with their twofold mission: “To provide services and support to those affected by sexual and domestic violence, and to provide education and leadership within the community to change the societal conditions that cultivate these forms of violence.”

Today, the CARDV Advocacy Center is located in South Corvallis at 2208 SW 3rd St. A 24-hr Crisis and Support Line — operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — can still be reached through the original hotline number: 541-754-0110. Two additional safe shelters are operated in confidential locations.

Those who are interested in attending can register for the event here. To find more information about this event, contact Janique Crenshaw, the Events Coordinator, at  janique.crenshaw@cardv.org. And of course, while the event is free, CARDV is always accepting donations
