Corvallis, Albany Diaper Giveaway

Providing for a new baby can be financially taxing, with diapers alone costing around $500 in the first year.  Research revealed that 30% of American moms have struggled providing diapers for their babies. Factor in pandemic unemployment rates and families who are still recovering from the 2020 Oregon wildfires, paying for even a week’s worth of diapers is a grueling task for many.

Here in Benton and Linn Counties, Options Pregnancy Resource Center is hosting a series of diaper giveaways at five locations at the end of June for families facing these challenges. A free week’s worth of diapers will be provided, as well as a chance to win a grocery gift card.

The dates, times, and locations of the giveaways are:

  • June 23 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Valley Church in Corvallis
  • June 24 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Philomath Fire Station
  • June 29 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Options Resource Center in Albany
  • June 30 (time and location to be determined)

Follow the OPRC Facebook page for the updated location and time for June 30. For Spanish-speaking parents, a translator will be available on June 23 and 29.
