CARDV Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Directors for the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV) announced the appointment of Kate Caldwell as the Executive Director of the agency. Caldwell was a member of the CARDV Board of Directors from 2017 until her recent appointment, acting as Chair during 2020.  Prior to her appointment, she was the Development Manager for Old Mill Center for Children and Families for more than 6 years.

She brings additional nonprofit experience to the role, having worked as an AmeriCorps/VISTA volunteer for 2 years for agencies located in Salem, Corvallis, and Eugene.

Before moving to Corvallis in 2012, she was an award-winning hotel manager in Northern California with many years of hospitality management experience and an extensive background in Board work including leadership, development, long-term planning, and special events.

“Kate combines a passion to continue serving the local community along with a desire to broaden the scope of services and community relationships in Linn and Benton Counties. We are excited to have her join the team, and we look forward to her leadership,” said John Marchel, Board Chair.
