Tuesday, Oct. 26, the Benton County Event Center and Fairgrounds will be hosting a public gathering from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
The meeting is intended to collect public feedback on the proposed designs for the new exhibit hall and covered arena. It will be available through Zoom, with no pre-registration required. It will be hosted by LRS Architects, the architectural company behind the design of the Vancouver Waterfront, among countless other projects.
Throughout the past several years, the buildings in question have repeatedly had maintenance deferred, with the Fairgrounds Facilities Master Plan and Benton County Event Center both having been updated and approved in 2019.
The master plan addresses the needs of both facilities, with recommendations to help the County create a community event center to serve both residents and new visitors.
The Benton County Fairgrounds Master Plan Study, Benton County Event Center, and Fairgrounds Facilities Master Plan Implementation Proposal are all available here to the public.
If you’re unable to attend the meeting, you can submit a written comment to the Benton County Natural Areas, Parks, and Events Department office by email, or call (541) 766-6521, through Friday, Oct. 29.
