Be Faster, Ride Furiouser: Benton County Unveils E-Bike Program
Go further, move faster, and be flashier with Empower Benton County E-Bike, a program designed to allow more people to buy and drive electric bicycles.
In a world where greenhouse gasses are rising and mobility options can be limited, the Corvallis Benton County Economic Development Office teamed up with Pacific Power and the Oregon Clean Fuels Program to fight the climate crisis by offering rebates for qualified applicants to purchase an E-Bike.
Benton County residents and Pacific Power Customers making less than 80% of the area’s median income, prepare your fingers to fill out an online application, and prepare your hearts for the sensation of out-zooming your frenemies. With rebates up to $1,200 and the potential of a low interest loan, anything is possible.
Yes, that includes riding in slow motion away from an exploding building while putting a pair of sunglasses on.
This summer, get ready for an outing like never before, where you could visit local bike shops like Bike N Hike, Corvallis Cyclery, Corvallis Electric Bicycles, and Peak Sports Bike Shop, to purchase the meanest and greenest beast around.
For mature audiences only (really, only people older than 18 can apply). Terms and conditions apply. Viewer discretion is advised.
Program brought to you in part by a grant awarded to the City of Corvallis through the Pacific Power Oregon Electric Mobility Grant program. Contact the Economic Development Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone 541-248-0795 with questions.
