Slated for July at the fairgrounds, the annual da Vinci Days festival will take place online this year.
Featuring a variety of Mid- Valley creative arts, and science and technology activities, the da Vinci Days organization will announce a schedule later this spring. The festival board voted to make the move late last month.
What to expect: The board announced that da Vinci Days will work with individuals and community groups to offer a series of virtual events over the next eight months.
“This is an amazing opportunity to be creative and to collaborate with our partners to bring the spirit of da Vinci Days to the community,” said Carole Hobrock, executive director of da Vinci Days.
Programs will be shared through online platforms such as Zoom and Facebook Live. Proposed events will feature Grand Kinetic Sculpture activities, local artists, musicians, makers, scientists and engineers.
The annual da Vinci Days festival has been a regular feature of summer in Corvallis since 1988. Starting in 2016, the event has been held at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Major sponsors include the City of Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon State University, HP, and Korvis.
