Corvallis’ Food Truck Circuit

Food trucks have been booming in Portland since the 1970s, with the city ranking as the friendliest place to run a food cart by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2018. As a result, food trucks have become popular across the entire state of Oregon, including here in Corvallis. They’re convenient, affordable, and delicious – here’s a list of some of our area’s hottest food trucks.   

Getsum Aloha Kine Grinds  

Getsum Aloha Kine Grinds, located at 520 SW 4th St. in Corvallis, offers Hawaiianstyle cuisine. From mochicko chicken and teriyaki beef plates to BBQ teriyaki and kalua pork plates, Getsum Aloha promises “a little taste of Hawaii” with every order. The food cart is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

 Gnomenuts  

Gnomenuts is currently located at the Melon Shack on Highway 20 and on Garden Ave. in Corvallis. This food truck serves hot homemade donuts and donut holes, as well as hot drinks and juices. On top of having standard donuts such as plain, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar, Gnomenuts also offers more unique flavors like Nutella and huckleberry. You can visit Gnomenuts on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

Miguel’s Mexican Cuisine  

Another food cart located at 520 SW 4th St. in Corvallis, Miguel’s Mexican Cuisine serves authentic Mexican food Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Miguel’s offers a variety of Mexican cuisine: nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, tostadas, flautas, fajitas, and more, all at an affordable price.   

Tacos El Machin  

Located at 544 SW 4th St., the Tacos El Machin food truck’s specialty is their authentic street style tacos. A companion to the Tacos El Machin restaurant and bar, which are located right next door, the food cart serves as a convenient way to get your taco fix any day of the week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.   

Young’s Country Kitchen  

Offering authentic Korean fare, Young’s Country Kitchen originally served Corvallis as a restaurant from 1993 to 2015 before transitioning to a food truck in 2018. Now located at 310 NW 53rd St .in Corvallis, this food cart serves a number of tasty Korean dishes including teriyaki chicken, kimbap, bibimbap, sweet and sour chicken and pork, egg rolls, and more. Visit Young’s Country Kitchen on Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.   

Funky Brunch Food Cart  

The Funky Brunch Food Cart is located at 520 SW 4th St. and offers a wide range of breakfast and brunch items, from biscuits and gravy to the famous “Funk Burger.” Visit this unique food truck Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2p.m., Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. when Oregon State University is in session.   

Kalamata Bistro  

Kalamata Bistro, located at 545 SW 3rd St., describes their food as “fresh Mediterranean inspired cuisine with a Pacific Northwest flair.” This food stand focuses on selling their various menu items sustainably by using ingredients from local farms and vendors. They also employ a local charity program, Food Fight, which donates every dollar from each Schwarma sold to Jackson Street Youth Services. Visit Kalamata Bistro Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
