Corvallis Art Guild Gets Creative for Clothesline Art Sale

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Corvallis Art Guild (CAG) has cancelled its 59th annual Clothesline Sale of Art. Fear not, though, as the CAG and their artists have come up with a creative, COVID-friendly solution.

Inspired by the resilience of clothespins, the CAG challenged artists to create pieces of art that represented the idea of “Holding On” during rough times. The artists created paintings, sculptures, collages, and even turned literal clothespins into art.

Some of the artists’ works can be found on display at the Footwise storefront on 3rd Street throughout the month of August. All of the nearly 40 artists’ works can be found on the Corvallis Art Guild website.

For the virtual exhibition, and the chance to purchase a piece, visit the CAG site.
