Banff Mountain Film Fest at Whiteside

The world’s most prestigious mountain film festival is coming to Corvallis, February 9–10.

Held every fall in Alberta, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival features hundreds of films from across the world celebrating life and adventure in the mountains. Currently in its 44th year, the festival promises “stories of remote journeys, ground–breaking expeditions, and cutting-edge adventures told through the eyes of adventurers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe.”

After the festival’s completion, the best entries are selected for the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour, which is slated to visit 550 communities across 40 different countries this year.

The 2019/2020 World Tour is being brought to Corvallis by Live to Play, the events division of Mountain Gear, and features “a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival.” The event will be held at the Whiteside Theatre, with a different selection of films airing each night.
