Majestic Readers’ Theater: Sense and Sensibility. Majestic Theatre, 115 SW 2nd St., Corvallis. 7 p.m. $10-$12. A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters – sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne – after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Pistol Club. Anderson and Keeling Memorial Target Range, McAlexander Fieldhouse, 1800 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis. 6 p.m. $5. Learn firearms safety and how to shoot bullseye pistol! If it is your first visit to Pistol Club this academic year, please bring $5 for the mandatory orientation and safety training and your OSU ID. Orientation and safety training begins at 6:00 p.m. (note there is a limit to the number of trainees per night for safety reasons and please be on time…or better yet early). For members who have been trained this academic year, the range generally opens about 7:00-7:30 p.m. once training is finished. We are located at the Anderson & Keeling Memorial Target Range on the south-east corner of McAlexander Fieldhouse. We hang a sign that is visible when walking from the north on the Kerr Admin side.
