Think for a moment, about all you have witnessed — how many moments your eyes and consciousness consumed, especially those kept in your memory where you’ll often press replay. Each of us has bore witness to beautiful, terrible things: unexplainable sights, tragedies and triumphs, small to large acts of love or violence.
Tell the world what you’ve witnessed on Thursday, April 18, at DeMaggio’s Pizza in Downtown Corvallis, for The Advocate’s monthly Storytelling Night. Participants are encouraged to get creative with the theme (which changes each month); Take it literally, figuratively, or wherever your mind wanders.
Storytelling Night is a judgement-free zone meant to foster community connection. All stories must be true, while length depends on the amount of participants. Slots are available to those wishing to sign-up early. To sign-up, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Storytelling Night happens every third Thursday of the month at DeMaggio’s Pizza in downtown Corvallis, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m. $5 suggested donation. All proceeds go to independent journalists at Corvallis’ only locally owned newspaper, The Corvallis Advocate.
