OMSI Measles Exposure Reported

Visitors  to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry may have been exposed to measles according to health officials tracking a growing outbreak here in the Northwest.

Clark County Public Health officials report anyone visiting OMSI on Saturday, Jan. 19 could have been exposed. In other words, unvaccinated individuals could be infected, such as babies under 12 months that would not ordinarily be vaccinated yet.

OMSI is a favorite attraction for children, and young families.

There have been 35 confirmed cases in the current outbreak, Washington state has declared a public health emergency, and officials are urging individuals be vaccinated.
