Coast to Valley Expansion Replaces Corvallis to Amtrak Connector Nov. 4

Starting November 4, the Coast to Valley Express takes over routes currently serviced by the Corvallis to Amtrak Connector, a service provided by Benton County Transportation. This first phase of the Coast to Valley expansion will take over all four existing runs to the Albany Station, seven days a week.

However, according to a release from the county, instead of making all the stops of the current service, passengers will need to request boarding or departure for certain locations. The same release suggested riders could check the county site for details and upcoming changes.

A second phase in 2020 is anticipated to have eight runs traveling between Newport, Corvallis, and Albany.

This expansion is funded through the Oregon Legislature’s 2017 comprehensive transportation bill. Benton County is working with the Oregon Department of Transportation and regional partners on a route design and schedule for a reconfigured Coast to Valley service.
