Come check out our new digs, play games, win prizes, and meet local vendors and entrepreneurs at The Corvallis Advocate’s open house event at the Corvallis Foundry on May 23. This free-entry fundraiser benefits current and future staffers at the city’s only locally-owned newspaper.
In celebration of our new location and recent successes, we are joining with other local small businesses and entrepreneurs for the event, some of whom got their start at the Foundry, which serves as an incubator for start-ups. The Foundry has been a major support to us and so many others in their endeavor to create and maintain an equitable and vibrant local economy. We are elated to have found a new home, shared with so many people and businesses that share our values. We can’t wait to celebrate our recent successes, and are proud to announce improved quality and community engagement on all fronts, which we don’t plan on slowing down.
The fundraiser will feature tabletop games, a raffle with prizes, samples from food and drink vendors, words from Advocate staff and entrepreneurs, and just general good feels. Featured businesses so far include Grouphead Coffee, Whole Flower Farms (home of Not’cho cheese), Nourishing Kitchens Pantry, and Mother Culture Jun.
The Advocate Open House & Fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. on May 23 at the Corvallis Foundry, 257 SW Madison Ave, suite 210.
