Storytelling Night: Shook to the Bone

Has anything ever happened to you that was truly scary? Something so chilling, so horrific you were … shook to the bone?!

Hyperbole aside, The Corvallis Advocate welcomes you and yours to share and listen to true, scary stories told live, Oct. 30 at The Downward Dog Cafe, from 7-9 p.m.

Whether stories are emotionally-driven, psychological, paranormal, about near-death experiences, or something entirely different, Storytelling Night, as always, offers a safe space and compassionate atmosphere to all who attend.

To top it all off, this time we’ll be hosting a costume contest with prizes to winners in two categories: Best Overall and Scariest. Be sure to dress to impress (that is if you’re into that sort of thing)!

All stories must be true and under 7 minutes long. Sign up starts at 6:30 p.m. Costume Contest and Judging begin at 9. Suggested donation of $5 at door. Proceeds go to independent journalists at Corvallis’ only locally-owned newspaper.
