The Advocate Hosts Post-Inaugural Community Drink

community drink2The Corvallis Advocate welcomes all to Cloud and Kelly’s Public House this upcoming Sunday, the 22nd, for a post-inaugural Community Drink event, beginning at 6 p.m. Open to community members 21 and older, the event will feature signature cocktails, a brief display of local improv, games, giveaways, and a general sense of communal solace and support following the swearing in of America’s new, crusty government and… he who shall not be named.

Publisher and Editor in Chief Steve Schultz, as well as Managing Editor Stevie Beisswanger, are expected to deliver some words, while patrons can expect to find a light and friendly atmosphere.

Staff and writers at the Advocate have collaborated on this event for the sole purpose of offering continued support and consolidation to the greater Corvallis community. That being said, no lewd or riotous behavior is welcome. Rather, community members are encouraged to gather and share in a moment of unison—to speak their concerns or of other things all together, side by side and with unified intent.

So, come one, come all, Corvallis, and don’t let the clown get you down—instead, let’s dust off our shoulders and extract strength from the oldest source there is: community.

The Community Drink begins Sunday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. at Cloud and Kelly’s Public House in Downtown Corvallis. For further details and a timeline of events, visit Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/314574958936591/.
