New Year’s Eve in Corvallis: Top to Bottom

This year, Corvallis has a number of party options that range in price, attire, and even altitude. You can choose from a reservation-only dinner or a prohibition-era themed party on the ground, a dance party complete with live DJ via rooftop, or enjoy the best view of downtown from none other than the Vue.

Castor Club
458 SW Madison Ave.

Castor Club’s NYE dinner is a classy way to ring in the new year. Start your evening with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a four-course, prix fixe dinner. This event offers two seating times at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Prices are $65 per guest, along with optional beverage pairings for an additional $30 for the classic, or an extra $50 for the premium. Choose whichever time suits you best, what menu item you would like, and whether or not you want to include a beverage pairing. Options range from scallops, filet mignon, and vegetarian winter pot-pie. Dessert includes truffle-brown sugar cheesecake with pecan caramel topping.

Cloud & Kelly’s
126 SW 1st St.

One of the most highly anticipated, and longest running New Year’s Eve parties in Corvallis, is the Bootlegger’s Ball at Cloud and Kelly’s Public House. The venue is located at 126 SW 1st Street, on the ground floor. This free-entry event is for people 21 years of age or older. The theme of the night is The Roaring 20s, with a focus on ending prohibition; attendees are expected to dress to impress in era-appropriate attire. Enjoy a night with DJ Mechanoid, and capture memories of the festivities in the Smile Photo booth. When the clock strikes midnight, ring in 2018 with a balloon drop.

Sky High Brewing
160 NW Jackson Ave

The next party goes up a few floors to the rooftop of Sky High Brewery. This is also a 21-or-over event, but is not free; expect a $15 cover charge. This dance party includes live music by Despite The Whiteness – a local fusion-funk band with Latin and jazz roots. New Year’s Eve party favors will be provided to help you enjoy the festivities. Dress for comfort and wear your dancing shoes.

2 Towns Cider, at Vue Corvallis
517 SW 2nd St.

Last is the tallest venue in town. At the Vue on 517 SW 2nd, you can join 2 Towns Ciderhouse above downtown Corvallis as they ring in the New Year with dancing, drinks, and spectacular views. This is a 21-and-over, semi-private New Year’s Eve celebration, and is open to the public for a limited number of pre-sale tickets. You must purchase a $40 ticket in advance in order to attend the event. The party takes place from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., and ticket prices include admission for one person, New Year’s Eve party favors, photo-booth prints, Hor d’oeuvres from Forks & Corks, and one Riverwood Cider drink for the midnight toast. Festive or black-tie is encouraged, but not mandatory. Each floor will be operating a no-host bar where beer, wine, and lots of cider will be available for purchase. Professional DJ’s will be spinning on the dance floor up top, while the bottom floor and balcony will be available for socializing. As the venue’s name suggests, you’ll have a great view of the midnight fireworks. Purchase your tickets here:
