Albany Antique Mall’s Biggest Event

Scot and Sharon Anderson opened the doors of the Albany Antique Mall on February 2nd, 2009. Since then, the antique mall has grown to 80 dealers and added a coffee shop. If you’re looking to find something unique or hoping to add to a collection, you will probably find something that suits your fancy here; they have two floors of stuff after all. That said, one of the biggest events that the antique mall puts on is the Antiques in the Streets & Classic Car Show.

This year’s event is Saturday September 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with wares spread along 2nd St and 3rd St, with plenty of options for food and entertainment to check out along the way. This is the event’s 20th year, and last year there were 127 classic cars and 40 antique dealers lining the streets. Not to mention the mall’s giant sidewalk sale during the event.

You can find buttons, clothing, furniture, glass, silver, books, jewelry, and a variety of other knick-knacks. Truly, you never know what you’ll find when you explore this event and that’s the real fun behind it. Money raised from the event is given to a local non-profit each year and this year’s donation goes to the ABC House Child Abuse Intervention Center.

If you’re someone who is interested in participating as an antique dealer or car show participant, you can sign up right up until the day of the show by calling 541-704-0109 for more information. Come find some not so hidden treasure.
