Randomly positioned painted pianos amid our fair burg’s cityscape can only mean one thing: the Corvallis Imagination Music and Art Festival (CIMA) is upon us, this time in its fourth annual iteration. CIMA is a family-friendly event that brings together music, art, and food.
Music takes the main stage of the park while art and food booths occupy the rest of the park. The organizers are a local non-profit founded to support music and art in communities by hosting events and participating in special projects. This year, all 10 pianos around the city will be moved to Bruce Starker Park for a 10-piano concert at noon on Saturday, July 23.
The music lineup includes Gumbo Groove, Rae Gordon, Fate 55, and Animals of Grace.
The Corvallis Imagination Music and Art Festival will be held Friday, July 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bruce Starker Arts Park. This event is free and open to the public, but all donations support K-12 music and education right here in Corvallis. For more information about CIMA, visit www.cimafestival.com.
