Ladies, gather your crew; Lunafest is coming to town! Lunafest is brought to you by the same company that makes those power bars. The event takes place on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU campus. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Lunafest is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films made by women, for women, and about women. Eight films will be presented this year; some will make you laugh, others might make you cry, but each one will ignite discussion and just might compel you to make a difference in your own community.
What’s even better is that Lunafest is down with a cause! Proceeds will benefit the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Women’s Cancer Coalition Fund, which promotes cancer awareness and education, and provides resources for free cancer screenings to women in Benton, Linn, and Lincoln counties. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to enjoy a fun evening while supporting a tremendous cause!
Buy your tickets online or at the door. General admission is $15; the cost is $12 for students and seniors. If you carry an Oregon Trail card, you can get in for $5 at the door. For more information, visit www.lunafest.org/corvallis0131.
