This year’s Sustainability Fair and Town Hall promises to be more family-friendly than ever. For the first time, the event will include a Kids’ Activity Room. Corvallis’ youngest citizens will have fun as they learn about connecting to the community, and the Earth. Children of all ages will enjoy a bountiful spread provided by Valley Catering. The gypsy-inspired folk music of String Rain will delight attendees as they tour the many exhibits.
After the fair, a town hall meeting will feature keynote speaker Sean McGuire. An expert on well-being indicators, McGuire will focus on measuring true economic, environmental, and social health as a community.
The entire evening will be a model sustainable event, and attendees are encouraged to arrive on foot, by bike, by bus, or by carpool.
The event is on Thursday, March 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the CMCH Hill Alumni Center, 725 SW 26th Street. Register for the town hall by Monday, March 9 at www.sustainabilecorvallis.org. Admission is free.
