The Chance Dance coming up at Linn-Benton Community College is a one-of-a-kind performance dance fans won’t want to miss. This fundraising event is a collaborative spectacle that will bring a talented community of artists, choreographers, and dancers together on one stage to promote diversity and interconnection through art and dance.
Regional choreographers will present 10 unique dances based on the intrinsic meaning of numbers and chance, showcasing styles like African, ballet, ballroom, and contemporary. Participants will include the Rainbow Dance Theatre from Western Oregon University, LBCC Dance and Poetry Clubs, Legacy Ballet, OSU Gymnastics Academy, and others.
Proceeds from the Chance Dance will benefit the LBCC Art and Aesthetics Resource Team and its efforts to bring art to the LBCC campus.
The Chance Dance starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14 in the Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Boulevard SW, Albany. Tickets are $10 in advance for general admission, $8 in advance for students, and $10 at the door. You can also purchase tickets by contacting M’Liss Runyon at 541-917-4415, or at Rice’s Pharmacy, Grass Roots Bookstore, and Clothes Tree in Corvallis.
