Corvallis is having its first Queer Film Festival at the Darkside Cinema. This event has free admission and will run from Monday, Nov. 11 to Friday, Nov. 15 with a different movie every day starting at 6 p.m. The films being shown are:
Monday: Trans – A documentary about men, women, and transsexuals.
Tuesday: The New Black – Tells the historic fight to win marriage equality in the streets of Maryland within the African-American community.
Wednesday: Mosquita Y Mari – A story about two Chicanas in Los Angeles who forge a friendship that turns into something more.
Friday: Southern Baptist Sissies – Covers four boys who grew up in the Southern Baptist Church and the complexities of living with their sexuality and religion.
