Half the Sky Movie Screening and Beer Tasting. April 11, 7 – 10 p.m.

Beer tasting and screening of the documentary, Half The Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women World Wide, at the Majestic Theatre. Ninkasi’s pints for a cause will be donating $1 of every pint bought to New Light India Foundation, working to keep girls in school. Along with pints you will get to sample different beers and watch an amazing documentary! Suggested donation of $2 – 5.

 

Midnight Muse Magazine Issue 6 Launch Party, April 13, 6 – 9 p.m.

Midnight Muse Magazine, a free digital publication that highlights talented local artists, will be celebrating its 6th Issue (which will be released April 15th) with a Launch Party at Imagine Coffee. Take Back the Night, April 17, 7 – 9 p.m.

The purpose of Take Back the Night at OSU’s Memorial Union Quad is to empower everyone to feel safe in their communities, while promoting awareness of the realities of sexual violence. The evening’s activities include a candle light vigil, performances by Divine a cappella group, and a march to express strength of allies uniting together to end sexual violence. Part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Free.

 

Drunken Spelling Bee, April 17, 9 p.m.

The legendary spelling bee is back again! Think you are some sort of spelling champ? Then come to the drunk spelling bee at Cloud and Kelly’s to participate in a more intoxicated version of your drunken childhood dreams. The winner of this event will receive a gift card to Cloud and Kelly’s Public House.
