Midnight Muse Magazine, a free digital publication that highlights talented local artists, will be celebrating its 6th Issue (which will be released April 15th) with a Launch Party on Saturday, April 13th from 6 – 9 p.m. at Imagine Coffee. Work by artists featured in Issue 6 will be on display at the event, but that’s certainly not all—the Launch Party will feature a line-up of performances, live painting demonstrations, live figure drawing, a free photo booth by Kristin Hayes Photography, and drawing supplies provided by The Drawing Board.

And if you’re not already part of the performance line-up, don’t be disappointed—in the spirit of open mic, anyone can sign up to go on stage between performances with their own poetry reading, musical piece, etc.
“Midnight Muse is dedicated to providing artists of every medium and stage of their development a platform to share their creations, from 2D work like painting, photography, etc., to sculptures, poetry and prose, music, fashion, dance, and everything in between,” writes Sarah Page, the magazine’s co-creator and designer. “It’s for everyone.”
Issue 6 artists include pen and ink artist Nikki Britain, The Marissa Mission, Dance Troupe of PDX, fashion photographer Kendra Martin, painter J.V. Wilhelm, and multimedia artist Shaylynn Allen, just to name a few.

The April 13th Launch Party line-up will feature songwriter Tanja Ross, The Van Meyers, Poor Girl Couture (knitted/croqueted/upcycled fashion) of Vancouver, poet/writer Laura Witham… and lots more. Don’t miss what promises to be one of Corvallis’ most impressive, dynamic, and fun local art events!

All art shown at the event will be for sale—15% of all proceeds will be donated to p:ear, an non-profit organization in Portland that “builds positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives.” To keep up with and subscribe to the Midnight Muse blog, and to check out previous and upcoming Issues and Featured Artists, visit www.midnightmusemag.com, or the publication’s Facbook page at https://www.facebook.com/MidnightMuseMag.
