Polar Plunge Corvallis, February 9, 10:30 a.m.
The Polar Plunge at the Crystal Lake Sports Park and Boat Ramp is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics Oregon athletes by jumping, walking or slowly crawling into the frigid and icy Oregon waters. Science Pub Corvallis: Extinction in Our Time, February 11, 6 – 8 p.m.
Science Pub returns at the Old World Deli with speaker Andrew Blaustein. Why do we care if frogs disappear? Habitat loss, climate change, disease and pollution have well-documented impacts. With dramatic population declines and extinctions worldwide, amphibians are among the most threatened animals on the planet.

The Majestic Theatre presents an evening of romance and whimsy, set to the scintillating songbook of one of the great American masters. General admission is $12 and comes with a complimentary drink. Steve Hunter’s Anti-Valentine Valentine’s Day Extravaganza, February 14, 9 p.m.
Bomb’s Away Café presents talented acoustic country music artist, Julia Rosen, followed by Corvallis’ own Pstimulus Package, with Steve Hunter on guitar and vocals, Jessie Wright on drums, Travis Witmer on bass, Joe Withee on guitar, and Betsy Miller with vocals. Not your typical Valentine’s Day celebration! This is a 21+ event, cover is $3 at the door.
