Local Favorite Ambush Party Disbands: Don’t Miss Their Final Show!

It is with mixed feelings that we reach out to you today to announce that we, Ambush Party, are disbanding. Over the past three years we have enjoyed performing, recording, and becoming a part of the outstanding Corvallis and Portland music scenes. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to see us, every band that came out to perform alongside us, every writer that took the time to review us, every venue that booked us, and all the other wonderful people that were there to support us in so many ways.

This decision was not an easy one, but as we move on in our lives and begin to forge careers and raise families, our priorities must shift to taking care of our loved ones. Some of us will continue to perform with other acts, some will not, but we will all cherish the time we spent making the music that meant so much to us. We were truly lucky to have a band we loved with the people we love.

We have partially finished our second album, and we will continue to work on that and hopefully release it in the near future. We will also perform and record one final show in Corvallis at Squirrel’s on Saturday, Feb. 16. We’ll give out a free hat to everyone that attends (assuming a sufficient supply). We played our first show ever at Squirrel’s in November of 2009, so we will come full circle for our grand finale.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as we did. Thank you all again for your unending support.
