Each year the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce, which enjoyed its 100th anniversary in 2012, hosts its Celebrate Corvallis event, honoring local individuals and businesses whose outstanding achievements and exemplary citizenship serve as models for us all. Awards are presented in 10 categories, such as Business of the Year, Patron of the Arts, and Good Steward of the Planet.
Previous award-winners include CASA – Voices for Children (2011 Community/Non-Profit Organization), Metzger Green Build (2009 Good Steward of the Planet), Second Glance’s Nancy Kneisel (2009 Person of the Year), and Yogurt Extreme’s Jane Humphreys (2010 Entrepreneur of the Year).
Join in this month for the 65th annual Celebrate Corvallis event on Friday, Jan. 18th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center. Individual tickets are $60 and include hors d’oeuvres, two drinks, and complimentary valet parking.
