The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will bring their renowned live event to Corvallis for the first time in 10 years when they take to the Gill Coliseum court on Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m.
The game in Corvallis was added to the end of the Globetrotters’ wildly popular 2012 North American Tour. Tickets to see the Globetrotters are on sale now at www.harlemglobetrotters.com, www.osubeavers.com, and by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS.
Jacob “Hops” Tucker will lead an impressive rookie class for the Globetrotters. At 5-10, Hops sports a 50-inch vertical leap (see video below). Hops joins other standout Globetrotter rookies, including Fatima “TNT” Maddox – the first female Globetrotter since 1993 and only the team’s ninth in its 86 year history. TNT played for the accomplished Dawn Staley at Temple University and most recently honed her basketball skills professionally in Sweden.
The rookie class joins veteran showman Big Easy Lofton, who has gained fame off the basketball court as a two-time competitor on the CBS series “The Amazing Race.” Competing on two seasons and 22 episodes, Big Easy and teammate Flight Time Lang finished fourth and second, becoming fan favorites with viewers.
Hops, TNT, and Big Easy are scheduled to play in Corvallis. Player rosters are subject to change.
