Crawl for the Cause 2012 slated for Saturday

Crawl for the Cause is a pub crawl with all proceeds benefiting the Benton County Women’s Cancer Coalition. Last year’s inaugural Crawl for the Cause raised $1,834 for the coalition.

This year’s event begins at 2 p.m. in downtown Corvallis. Participating pubs include: Flat Tail Brewing, Downward Dog, 101, Crow Bar, Jack Okole’s and The Peacock.

The concept for Crawl for the Cause was created in memory of Kelly A. Ulp Haught, who passed away from breast cancer at the age of 36 on January 17, 2011.

While registration is now closed for the 2012 Crawl for the Cause, the Corvallis Advocate will have photos and coverage from the pub crawl event in next week’s issue.

Please visit the Benton County Women’s Cancer Coalition’s website at http://womenscancercoalition.org to learn more about their efforts to eradicate cancer.
