Annual Spring Run for Kids

The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation will be holding it’s 9th Annual Spring for Kids Run this Saturday, March 10. This year’s run features the inclusion of a 10K along with a change in the start/finish area and race routes.

The race kicks off at 9 a.m. for the 2K and 9:05 for the 5K and 10K with all participants starting and finishing at the Corvallis School District Administration offices at 1555 SW 35th Street.

The 10K and 5K runs follow a scenic course along bike paths and city streets. The 10K route is a mostly, flat loop with one gradual hill on Nash Avenue/Brooklane Drive. The 5K also follows a flat loop along bike paths and city streets. The 2K race is stroller-friendly and follows a course on asphalt bike paths. Walkers are encouraged to participate in the 5K and 2K while the 10K is for runners only.

There is still time to register online and late registrations must by received by March 8th at midnight. Participants are encouraged to pick up their race packets on Friday, March 9th from noon to 6 p.m. at Five Star Sports (219 SW Madison Ave.). Packets include race number, a course map and a t-shirt (if registered by March 1st).

Race day registration and day of race packet pick-up goes from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and is located at the School District Western View Center, 1435 SW 35th Street.

Costs for participation are: $12 late entry/day of race for the 2K and $25 late entry/day of race for the 5K or 10K.
